The Warwick BBQ Championships .

The BBQ Arena at the Warwick BBQ & Beer Roadshow plays host to some of Australia’s BEST BBQ crews as they battle it out for fame, glory and over $10,000 in cash prizes!!

The Warwick BBQ Championships will play out in the BBQ Arena at The Roadshow, showcasing and celebrating all things Queensland Low and Slow.

This BBQ Competition is sanctioned by the Australian Barbecue Alliance as a Championship series event:

• Championship Series Round
• Network Points Round
• Potential World Championship(s) Qualifier
• Qualified ABA Adjudicators
• Full Digital Results

Additionally there will be a Steak Cook-Off Association (SCA) Competition. The winner of every SCA-sanctioned event will get a Golden Ticket to the SCA World Championships! Additionally, there will be a Golden Ticket for the winner of each ancillary category.

How Much Does it Cost To Register My Team?

  • The registration fee for this ABA Championship round is $350 per team.
  • The SCA Competition fee is an additional $150 per person participating in the steak cook-off. The $150 fee also covers the ancillary categories (whether participating in the ancillaries or not).
  • If competitors choose to participate only in the ancillaries (and not the steak cook-off), there is a $25 fee per ancillary.

What Does Registration Give Me?

Registration fee for this Australian BBQ Alliance Competition includes:

  • Entry to the ABA sanctioned Championship series round
  • ABA fees
  • A powered 6m x 6m site to camp & compete on Saturday 27th February

Registration for this Steak Cook-Off Association Round includes:

  • Entry to the SCA Competition
  • SCA fees
  • A powered 3m x 3m site to camp & compete on Sunday 28th February

What are the Categories?

ABA Championship Round Categories:

  • Chicken
  • Pork Ribs
  • Lamb
  • Pork (any cut)
  • Brisket

SCA Round Categories:

  • Steak
  • Tacos (ancillary)
  • Burger (ancillary)
  • Chicken Wings (ancillary)

There will be over $10,000 worth of cash and trophy presentations at this event!

The official Australian Grand Champion team is eligible to represent Australia as the country’s Number 1 Team at international competitions.

The winner of every SCA-sanctioned event will be invited to the SCA World Championships. In addition, there will be a Golden Ticket for the winner of each ancillary category.

When is Bump In/Bump Out?

ALL PARTICIPANTS:

Bump in will be on Friday 26th OR Saturday 27th February.

Bump out will be Sunday 28th February OR Monday 1st March.

SCA-ONLY PARTICIPANTS:

May also bump in & out Sunday 28th February if preferred

Your registration and place in the Warwick BBQ Championships for 2021 is confirmed when:

  • your online APPLICATION IS COMPLETED
  • ALL FEES have been paid; and
  • ALL APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTATION has been uploaded.
